The Iberarchivos Programme signed a letter of commitment with CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – in Seville on 9 July. The event was attended by Silvestre Lacerda, President of the Intergovernmental Council of Iberarchivos, and Pedro Díaz Granados, Executive President of CAF.
The main objective is to strengthen the capacity for preservation, conservation and dissemination of the documentary heritage shared with Ibero-America and the Caribbean.
As a programme, we promote access to archives for Ibero-American citizens. Our objective is to disseminate documents and encourage the organisation, description and conservation of archives, thus ensuring access to public information, administrative transparency, good governance and accountability.
CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean promotes sustainable development and regional integration. This is why the creation of new alliances such as this one is key for the development of the entire Ibero-American community.
