The Marco Ospina Foundation invites us to a series of lectures by the Colombian artist Marco Ospina, Colombia’s first abstract Colombian artist Marco Ospina, the first Colombian abstract artist, where we will the historical, political, artistic and social impact of his work and thinking in Colombia and Latin America. Colombia and Latin America, which will take place on 20 and 21 February in the Enrique Rivero Library the facilities of the Enrique Rivero Borrel Library of the Faculty of Engineering, UNAM in the University City of Mexico City. And on 22, 23 and 24 February will be held at the Rosario Castellanos FCE Bookshop, on Tamaulipas Avenue, Hipódromo, Cuauhtémoc, in Mexico City from 18:00 to 21:00 hours.
This documentary collection is part of the project co-financed by Iberarchivos by Iberarchivos entitled: “Registration and cataloguing of the archive of the plastic and documentary of the plastic and documentary work of the first Colombian abstract painter Marco Ospina”, which was selected in the 2018 call for proposals. As part of this project, the following results were achieved the following results were achieved: the digitisation of a total of 1,050 works by the artist, 348 articles by the artist, 348 articles, 236 catalogues and 183 photographs.
These talks will be the perfect forum to learn more about the life and work OF this great Colombian artist, as well as the subject of the support provided by Iberarchivos and the application process for this archival aid.
