At Iberarchivos, as we do every year, we join the celebrations of UN Women’ s International Women’s Day, which this year is framed with the theme: “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” and which calls for climate action by and for women.
This International Women’s Day, the Coalition for Action is pushing for global investment and action focused on financing gender-just climate solutions, increasing women’s leadership in the green economy, improving women’s and girls’ resilience to disasters and climate impacts, and increasing the use of gender equality and climate data. Hard work where archives are paramount to documenting these historic moments.
In this sense we would like to share that Iberarchivos, since its inception, has been committed to gender equality. On March 8th we invite you to celebrate with us the International Women’s Day and visit the archival projects focused on the action line “Promoting the gender perspective”. This line seeks to support projects that incorporate measures to reduce inequality between men and women, strengthen women’s capacities, make their contribution to society visible or projects presented by institutions defending women’s rights.
We invite you to get to know some of the projects with a gender perspective that have received funding from the Ibero-American Cooperation Programme:
