El Salvador becomes a member country of Iberarchivos

The Iberarchivos cooperation programme, always committed to the memory of Ibero-America, would like to officially announce the recent accession as a member country of El Salvador, a country that was previously part of this international cooperation.

With this incorporation, there will be 18 member countries working together on a daily basis for the preservation of archives in Ibero-America.

The programme encourages ties of solidarity and strengthens the capacities of professionals and the promotion of Ibero-American archives of all types, which is why this new alliance represents an important step forward for the preservation and conservation of archives in Ibero-America, with more and more countries working together with the same objective.

It is important to mention that El Salvador in its previous participations carried out 24 projects from 2000 to 2010 with Iberarchivos, which can now be consulted and reviewed on the Programme’s website.
