As it does every year, the Iberarchivos archival cooperation programme publishes its 22nd Call for applications for grants for archival projects , inviting archives and other institutions that hold documentary heritage in the Programme’s member countries to participate.

The aim of the call is to finance projects of an archival nature or projects of a supranational nature, in which archives, archivists and Ibero-American citizens benefit as a whole.

It is important to note that on this occasion, due to the complicated situation that the countries participating in the Programme are experiencing as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis and its economic consequences, this call for proposals will exceptionally only be aimed at those institutions requesting aid for projects within the priority lines of Iberarchivos, including a new line aimed at alleviating the problems arising from the COVID-19 health crisis.

The deadline for submitting applications will begin on 10 July and end on 30 September 2020. Any request for information on applications can be addressed to the Technical Unit of the Programme, by email: cooperacion.archivos@cultura.gob.es or to the country project officers, who are listed on the website: http://www.iberarchivos.org/paises-miembros/. We recommend that applicants contact the project officer in their country at the project design stage, who will provide the necessary support and advice for the submission of the project.

Iberachivos is a programme that has been in existence for more than 22 years and has a long history behind it, with 1,351 projects in Ibero-America in the 17 member countries. Since its creation, it has focused on social issues of great impact for the population.

Don’t miss this opportunity and participate! Remember, the memory of the people must be preserved together.
