As part of the activities carried out each year by the Ibero-American cooperation and integration programme, Iberarchivos, the “22nd Meeting of the Intergovernmental Council” will be held on 18 and 19 February 2020. On this occasion, it will bring together all the national archival authorities of the seventeen member countries of the Programme in the emblematic General Archive of the Indies, in the city of Seville, Spain.
Cristina Díaz, Technical Secretary of Iberarchivos, emphasised that during this meeting the 21st call for applications 2019 for grants for archival projects will be resolved, making public the beneficiary projects and institutions. In addition, the 2020 Annual Operational Plan will be drawn up, within the framework of the 2019-2021 Strategic Plan, which will govern Iberarchivos’ actions for the coming year.
The next 22nd Meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of Iberarchivos aims to be an open forum with the presence of directors of national archives in Ibero-America, who will also participate in the seminar “Seminar on Archives of Iberian Tradition”, which will be co-organised by the Latin American Association of Archives and the Subdirectorate General of the State Archives of Spain.
