In the framework of the 50th anniversary of the “Cordobazo”, the emblematic protest in which the local trade unions and the university student sector converged, this historic event is commemorated with a photographic exhibition that records the only official celebration in the governmental sphere on record.
The images show a popular rally and an official act with the presence of provincial authorities, trade union leaders, politicians and the President of the Republic of Cuba, Dr. Osvaldo Dorticós. The photographs belong to the Government Press Fund of May 29, 1973.
The exhibition is also accompanied by some periodicals and books on the subject that form part of the Archive Library’s collection.
