The Jikji Prize is awarded every two years to individuals or organisations that have made a significant contribution to the preservation and accessibility of documentary heritage.
The winner of the seventh Jikji Prize was announced on Monday 1 October 2018 at the Cheongju City headquarters in South Korea.
This year’s award went to the Mali-based NGO SAVAMA-DCI in recognition of its efforts to preserve documentary heritage in Timbuktu, Mali.

Thus, the prize travels to Africa, taking over from the Iberarchivos programme that received it in 2016.
