From the Ibero-American General Secretariat comes the excellent news that Ecuador will join our Iberarchivos programme.

The Coordinator of the Ibero-American Cultural Space of SEGIB, Mr. Enrique Vargas, has transmitted to our Technical Unit the official letter by which the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador communicates the incorporation of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of this country to the Iberarchives programme.

Procedures have already been initiated with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of Ecuador for the designation of a representative to the Intergovernmental Council of Iberarchivos.

With the incorporation of Ecuador, Iberarchivos will have the participation of 17 countries, making it one of the Cooperation programmes with the greatest geographical representation within the Ibero-American space.
