From today until 16 November 2017, another edition of the “Escuela de Archivos Iberoamericana” is taking place in Spain.
As part of the IBEREX Programme of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport – a programme to support the training of Ibero-American professionals in different cultural fields – this school, which is held every year, aims to improve the specialised training of Ibero-American archive professionals in Spain.
This year, the archives school will host 6 archivists from 6 different countries – Bolivia, Costa Rica, Philippines, Chile, Mexico and Peru – who will receive their training in the National Historical Archives in Madrid and the General Archive of the Indies in Seville.
Since its first edition in 1991, more than 400 Ibero-American archivists have benefited from this programme.
