On Friday 24 February, from 8pm in the evening, the La Ligua Museum (Petorca, Chile), will close its summer cultural programme. There will be different activities such as art exhibitions, plays (among them, El Gigante Egoísta, by the theatre company El AlmaZen), and a pottery burning, symbolising the end of the pottery workshop. The occasion will also be used to inaugurate a collective exhibition of the works produced by the participants and attendees of the painting, engraving and pottery workshops during the months of January and February in the Sala Yacas.
The workshops were organised by the museum’s educational area as a way of offering the community, especially children, the opportunity to get started in three artistic languages. These types of activities take on greater weight under the umbrella of 2017, International Year of Ibero-American Crafts.
