This November another edition of the “Archive School for Ibero-America” is taking place in Spain.
As part of the IBEREX Programme of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport – which supports the training of Ibero-American professionals in different cultural fields – this school, which is held every year, aims to improve the specialised training of Ibero-American archive professionals in Spain.
In this 2016 edition, a group of 9 archivists from various countries – Argentina, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru, and Venezuela – will receive training at the National Historical Archive (Madrid) and the General Archive of the Indies (Seville).
Since its first edition in 1991, more than 400 Ibero-American archivists have benefited from this programme.
